Student Support

At Aparima College our small class sizes and strong pastoral systems ensure that your children are educated in a stress-free, supportive environment. Individuals we regularly employ in the support of our students are:

  • Principal and Deputy Principals - Overall responsibility for students' discipline and welfare 
  • Deans - Overall responsibility for year levels.  Support form teachers in discipline and pastoral concerns.

  • Parents and Caregivers - Invaluable for the interest, support and active involvement in their children's education.
  • Form Teachers -  Regular contact and a daily check on welfare, progress and attendance. 
  • Peer Support Leaders - Year 13 students trained in this life skills programme guide year 7 students in adjusting to College life. 
  • Health Nurse -  Available each week for counselling or concerns regarding physical health 
  • Careers Adviser -  A trained well-resourced staff assist students with subject choice, career advice and placement, and entry into centres for further education. 
  • Guidance Counsellor -  A trained professional available for counselling students and their families on all issues affecting attitude and progress at school.
